Ministry History

The Lord called me to ministry when I was baptized in the Holy Spirit at age 11. My early years were spent at First Assembly of God (now Cross Tabernacle) in Terre Haute, Indiana where I developed a hunger for the Lord and His Word. My parents were saved when I was 10 years old and that year we moved with our pastor to start a new interdenominational church, Calvary Temple. I preached my first sermon entitled God's Boot Camp in a youth service when I was twelve. I also became very active singing in churches all over Terre Haute.

After graduating from high school I attended Oral Roberts University from 1975-78. I did not graduate from ORU, but I came away with an appreciation of Charismatic worship and a better understanding of the Holy Spirit and His manifestations. After completing my first bachelor's degree at Indiana State University, the Lord led me to return to my roots and seek credentials in the Assemblies of God. I was first credentialed on June 30, 1981. For the next 10 months I evangelized throughout Indiana, preaching in 75 different churches. We had tremendous response in all our services and God blessed both pastors and their people through my singing and preaching.

In April 1982, I was called to pastor Lyons Assembly of God in Lyons, Indiana. For the next 12 years I pastored a total of four A/G churches in two states. In 1995 I returned to Terre Haute and began preaching in Baptist, Assemblies of God, Missionary Alliance, and independent churches. In 2003 the Lord led me to the Caring Center Church of God where I served five years as Associate Pastor. In 2008 I felt led by the Holy Spirit to transfer my credentials to the Church of God since that was where I was serving in ministry.

In the fall of 2008, the plant where I was working as an IT Specialist was closed down and I was offered a position as Web Developer at a company near Fort Wayne, Indiana. I have lived in this area for almost 2 years now and last September I was appointed pastor of The Lighthouse of Truth Church of God. The church currently meets on Sunday mornings only. I believe the Lord is leading me to engage in limited itinerant ministry on Sunday and Wednesday evenings.
